February Postcards 2022

Ventnor Beach, Phillip Island

When the blistering heat dissipates and the beaches no longer ring with the sound of children now tucked back in their classrooms… it’s February in Australia. The perfect time to roam the beaches and infuse my writing with all that charms me most about this island we are blessed to call home for half the week. A most suitable place to write, edit, and gear up for my next book release, Carry Me Close.

The last month of summer brings more celebrations for our family with the birthday of my Beloved. So we cook the foods and pour the drinks and count the blessings we bring in from our garden, as well as the greatest blessings that gather at our table.

This February, I planted viola seedlings in preparation for my Carry Me Close Twilight Garden Party Book Launch. Quite the mouthful for a small soiree ~ a playful nod to some of what features in this third book in the Blue Wren Shallows series. In the next few days I hope to share the cover and synopsis of this story, including our newest heroine, Viola Buckley, hence the profusion of violas now rising from their pots in my garden.

Until next time, and all the giddy goosebumps that come with a book release,

Happy reading,
Dotti

Summer Lemonade – technically from our Australia Day gathering in January but too good not to share. And delicious. Thank you Sharon for the home-made lemonade cordial!
